Description
The 2010 Chambourcin has tart red and black fruit aromas/flavors, heavy on the cherry, a little blueberry, lots of spice, vanilla, and a hint of smoke at the end. The acid level is on the upper end of moderate, with moderate tannin, body, and alcohol (13.5%).
This wine took the Gold Award at the Lone Star State Wine Competition in both 2010 and 2011 and was Texas Monthly’s wine of the month for August 2012.
