It is illegal for retailers to take wine back which is not spoiled, including Fairhaven Vineyards. We do take returns on wines which are obviously corked or flawed. In these cases, winery credit will be given towards additional purchases. If you feel your wine is flawed, it needs to be returned as soon as possible for evaluation. We do not honor returns on wines which have been improperly stored, mistreated or have been out of the store longer than 60 days.
Fairhaven Vineyards makes absolutely no suggestions or intimates the right of any person to import its wine across state lines. Fairhaven Vineyards reserves the right to arbitrate/mandate shipping procedures and assumes no liability for any misinterpretation or misunderstanding of the above provisions or of shipping laws pertaining to individual states. Please see the SHIPPING section for further information.
In order for Fairhaven Vineyards to continue providing our customers with services such as shipping, we must include certain stipulations & articles of agreement. The following conditions relate to the shipping of our wine. By requesting shipment of any merchandise the consignee agrees to all of the following conditions. No wine will be delivered to visibly intoxicated persons and any person unable to provide age verification will forfeit their right to receive the shipment until identification is produced. In such circumstances, the order may be either held in storage at a local depot of the shipping company until appropriate identification is produced, or shipped back to the winery. All associated costs will be the responsibility of and be charged to the customer.
The experienced staff at Fairhaven Vineyards takes every precaution to ensure safe transit of goods requested by our customers; as such, Fairhaven Vineyards is not liable for any damages to goods caused by weather conditions and other “Acts of God” during transportation.
